Design Features

Special frame-type impellers are low-speed designs commonly used for mixing, heat transfer, and reaction duties involving medium- to high-viscosity liquids.

  • Anchor-frame type (MKS): provides high wall shear at low speed, helping prevent settling and wall buildup. The bottom profile can be matched to an elliptical vessel and intermediate bottom bearing.
  • Anchor-ribbon type (MDS): combines ribbon and frame geometries, integrating the functions of both.
  • Square-frame (FKS) and square-grid (FSS) types: simple in construction and easy to manufacture, with performance similar to frame impellers; especially suitable for mixing and dissolution at medium viscosity.
  • Plate-frame type (BKS): a high-efficiency impeller suitable for a wide viscosity range. Its simple structure provides a large projected area relative to the vessel cross-section.
  • Provides high mixing efficiency and relatively high shear, suitable for solid-liquid suspension, liquid-liquid dispersion, gas-liquid mass transfer by drawing gas from the liquid surface, and heat-transfer duties.
