In anaerobic digestion applications, effective circulation, mixing uniformity, and solids suspension play a critical role in maintaining stable operation and consistent process performance.
For this application, MixUniX engineered a combined mixing solution based on the customer's specific operating conditions. Two axial-flow impellers positioned at different elevations generate strong vertical circulation throughout the vessel, helping keep bottom solids suspended and reducing the risk of sediment buildup. At the liquid surface, a screw-type impeller is added to break up floating solids and surface crust. Together, the two impeller systems address the customer's key mixing requirements: breaking surface crust and preventing solids from settling.
The mixer is equipped with a single mechanical seal selected to meet the specified operating pressure. The motor and associated electrical components were also selected and engineered in accordance with the project's explosion-protection and hazardous-area requirements, ensuring that the system is suitable for the intended operating environment. Before shipment, critical components underwent inspection and verification to support efficient installation and commissioning once the equipment arrives on site.
MixUniX is a newly established international mixing brand backed by more than 30 years of engineering and manufacturing expertise from GREATWALL MIXERS. While the MixUniX brand is new, the experience behind it is not. GREATWALL MIXERS has supplied mixing equipment to customers in the United States and more than 80 countries worldwide over the past three decades. MixUniX brings that experience closer to customers across the Americas, combining proven mixing technology and manufacturing capabilities with a stronger local-service approach. This first order is an important beginning — and the first of many projects to come.
